Season 3 of The Americans continues with the spy couple going on their newest mission on FX. With their covers under suspicion by someone unsuspecting, Will Elizabeth (Keri Russell), Paige (Holly Taylor) and Philip (Matthew Rhys) Jennings discover the truth behind 'Divestment?'
In our previous recap, while Elizabeth took the newly baptized Paige (Holly Taylor) on a road trip, Gabriel (Frank Langella) dropped a huge bombshell on Philip; he has another son. Manipulated by Gabriel, Philip was unable to tell Elizabeth before about the shocking news. Philip had to go to his target, Kimberly (Julia Garner) instead and asked her to pray with him for the son he never raised.
In our recent recap, Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) and his fellow FBI agents discovered a bug had been planted inside the director's pen. Realizing she put the recording device there, Martha (Alison Wright) became a nervous wreck as she hid in the bathroom, wondering what else Clark (Rhys) has been keeping from her. While Philip and Elizabeth planned the kidnapping of their next targets, Martha pulled out a handgun from her drawer.
According to TV Equals, Divestment follows Martha and Clark as their marriage meets its most challenging test. As pressures continues to mount on Philip, Elizabeth turns to Gabriel with a difficult request. Still in her prison cell, after betraying her cell-mate, Nina (Annet Mahendru) receives a new assignment that reconnects her with her past.

In an interview with TV Line, Wright reveals what Martha might possibly do with that gun, "She's in major panic mode here. Who knows if she's going to point it at herself, as well, one day? We don't know yet. But it's there. And she knows how to shoot it now. We'll have to see."
