FX's 'The Americans' Season 3 Recap: 'Born Again': Will Keri Russell Betray Matthew Rhys For Gabriel?

Season 3 of The Americans continues with an all-new episode on FX. As the espionage/family drama picks up from last season's cliff-hanger, will undercover spies Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Philip (Matthew Rhys) Jennings betray each other for Gabriel (Frank Langella) in 'Born Again?'

While Paige (Holly Taylor) is being baptized, her parents look on with sadness. They look at each other while the rest of the congregation claps. 

While Elizabeth is training her recruit, Philip tells his daughter he's proud of her for being strong. She should never feels pressure and be her own person. Philip is actually warning her about him and her mother. 

Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) brings Tori (Callie Thorne) to meet the Jennings family. Callie defends EST in her debate with Paige. Back at the Russian prison, Nina (Annet Mahendru) is trying to get inside the mind of her cellmate. Nina reveals how she loved two men, who cared more for their country than her. 

Tori seduces Stan after he tells her he hasn't been with another woman since his ex-wife.As Jim, Philip wants Kimberly (Julia Garner) to listen to Pink Floyd. He rejects Kimberly's offer to take a bath with her. While she is in the shower, Philip opens the door for another agent. 

Paige spots her mother smoking in the garage. Elizabeth promises to support her no matter what, but she's not sure about the spiritual part. Philip has to stall Kimberly for 5 minutes while the agent works on her father's briefcase. Kimberly shows off her naked body but Philip tells her he has found religion. Philip doesn't want to break up with her; he just wants to take things slowly.

Nina's cellmate starts to reveal what happened in Brussels and their package. She says you do things for love. After returning home, Elizabeth and Philip smoke a blunt, joking about how Paige wants to see her praying. Jesus came through for Philip and stopped him from sleeping with Kimberly. If the operation drags on and she gets older, Philip will have to sleep with her.   

Back at work, Stan discovers one of his friends died in a plane crash. He calls Sandra but does't leave a voicemail. While Nina eats real food, Philip meets with Gabriel, who orders him to meet Kimberly weekly, not monthly. Gabriel tells Philip about a son he never knew he had.  

Elizabeth meets with Gabriel as well. He warns Elizabeth that Philip is losing faith in him. He wants Elizabeth to go ahead with the plan and recruit Paige, without him. While Paige is picked up by her mother, Nina's cellmate is kidnapped by the guards. 

As Kimberly invites Philip over to her bedroom, Elizabeth takes Paige to a dangerous part of town. Philip asks Kimberly to pray with him for his long-lost son. 

Elizabeth tells Paige about her past and that they are more alike than she knows.
