WrestleMania 31's almost here, and so far WWE has booked eight matches for 2015's "Showcase of the Immortals." Sting will wrestle in a WWE ring for the first time, against Triple H, while Roman Reigns seeks to wrest the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Brock Lesnar. So before the "Grandest Stage of Them All" officially airs, let's preview the matches we'll see on the card.
Sting vs. Triple H: The man no one thought would ever wrestle in World Wrestling Entertainment goes up against the head of The Authority. Expect "The King of Kings" to get Scorpion Death Dropped.
Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar (c): Lesnar has 'Mania momentum from last year, ending The Undertaker's undefeated streak, but Reigns is capable of handling himself against someone who hasn't wrestled that much since returning to WWE.
The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt: The impossible happened last year when 'Taker lost in first 'Mania match in 22 appearances. But don't think Wyatt's mind games will cause The Deadman to go 21-2.
John Cena vs. Rusev (c): Cena seeks his fourth reign as United States Champion against the U.S.-bashing Russian. Cena's loss would be surprising, but could -- hopefully -- hasten a heel turn.
Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins: RKO seeks revenge against The Authority's poster boy. Rollins could win via disqualification, but give the edge to the veteran.
Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Bad News Barrett looks to retain, but with fan-favorite Daniel Bryan shut out of the main even picture, look for him to win.
2nd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal: This is a toss-up, but money's on Damien Mizdow to win the trophy -- anything to cause more friction between him and The Miz.
Paige and AJ Lee vs. Brie and Nikki (c) Bella: Two "frenemies" go up against the Divas Champion and her sister. Look for the Bellas to finally get their comeuppance.
Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-way: In this match, Cesaro and Tyson Kidd look to retain against Jey and Jimmy Uso, The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) and Los Matadores (Diego and Fernando). Expect them to.
Final Thoughts: This could end up being a satisfying 'Mania. The build-up to it was kind of lacking this year, but the matches make sense storyline-wise.
WrestleMania 31 airs March 29 at 7 p.m. on the WWE Network, with a two-hour, online/network, simulcast pre-show, and pay-per-view.
