'Today' Show's Kathie Lee Gifford Twizzler Challenge - Hoda Kotb & Regis Philbin Kiss [WATCH]

There was some serious lip lock action on the Today show when Kathie Lee Gifford reunited with her former co-host, Regis Philbin. No, Gifford and Philbin didn't give all those shippers out there what they've been wanting for years; instead Hoda Kotb and Regis got super intimate with each other. The two talk show hosts channeled The Lady and the Tramp for Kathie's new Twizzler challenge.

According to E! News, the lip lock was to raise money and awareness for autism programs. The Twizzler challenge is simple; two people share a straw of the yummy licorice candy before their lips touch in the middle of it.

The Huffington Post reported that Kathie and her Today co-host, Matt Lauer, already participated in the challenge, so she passed the torch onto two of her co-hosts from the past and present.

In the video, Regis first admires Hoda's lips before going in for the smooch.

"Let me look at your lips," the 83-year-old says while staring at Hoda's face. "She could swallow me. Honest to God, something's going to happen here. I've never seen lips like that."

After the kiss was over, it seemed like Regis wanted more from the Today host, as he jokingly asked her if she had a boyfriend.

"That was pretty good. You're all right. You got a boyfriend?" Philbin joked.

Regis might be forgetful these days, as Hoda had to remind him that he had actually met her boyfriend in the past. When he was reminded of this, he jokingly told her that she could do way better than him.

"Do you really? Oh, I don't like him. You can do better than that," Philbin teased.
