Wu-Tang original Raekwon has been sounding off against the group's December comeback LP A Better Tomorrow. During an interview with NME Raekwon said the album was "too soft" and creative differences with RZA resulting in its demise.

"That album felt kinda bored. And that's not just my opinion. The music was just too soft. Too humble," he said.

In another interview with MTV News Raekwon said he was initially hesitant with working with Wu-Tang again. His main concern was not only a harmonic co-existence between the members, but also they conduct business properly. At the time, he and Wu cofounder RZA were attacking each other in the media so his concerns had merit. It's a sad thought for anybody who wants the Wu to get back to greatness of the 36 Chambers.

They finally settled their beef and got together in October 2014 when Raekwon was happy with the "harmony" the group achieved. It looks like it may not have been enough harmony though because here we are a few months after the album's release and he is not happy with the final product. He cites creative differences as the main problem:

"I felt like the album could have been better. I voiced my opinion, like, 'Yo, let's give them some real sh*t!' The album was driven more to RZA's expectations. He was coming from one way, we was wanting to try something new," he continued.

On top of all of this Raekwon won't be joining the Wu-Tang on tour. This has more to do with contractual obligations though and not that he was unhappy with the album. In the same interview he said he would've loved to be there.

A Better Tomorrow debuted at 27 on the Billboard Charts with 21,573 units sold. You have to wonder if it was a combination of what Raekwon said or poor promotion. There's no need to trash Wu-Tang so let's all just stick with poor promotion.
