ComiXology's 'Walking Dead' Sale: Get Michonne, Rick Grimes' Comics Before 'TWD' Season 5 Finale!

Before watching The Walking Dead Season 5 finale on AMC, ComiXology is celebrating its much anticipated 90-minute episode with its own Walking Dead comic book sale. Based on the popular Image Comics, get to know the TWD characters, Michonne and Rick Grimes right from the beginning.

Based on the bestselling comic book franchise, before he was the executive producer of his own adaptation, writer/creator Robert Kirkman came up with the concept of an ongoing human drama taking place after a zombie apocalypse. As each issue progressed, former sheriff Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) leads his group of survivors, including the sword-wielding Michonne (Danai Gurira) as they search for a safe and secure home. It's not the undead they have to worry about; it's the living.

According to the press release, issues 1-132 and volumes 1 through 22 of the trade paperbacks are currently on sale. There will be two compendium bundles for the entire series. With each bundle, customers will have 48 issues priced at $39.99.

As we previously mentioned, Rick (Lincoln) just went berserk in the penultimate episode after beating the crap of Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge)'s abusive husband. Straight from the comics, you can read panel-to-panel how Rick threw himself out window and ended up being knocked out by Michonne (Gurira). Will Alexandria be safe with or without Rick as their constable?

This season also brought in the comic book characters, Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos), Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), and Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt). Will the season finale lead to Volume 14: No Way Out? Will viewers be introduced Neegan sooner than later?
