Here Comes Honey Boo Boo might have been a ratings smash for TLC, but the stars of the show are fighting back today at the network that made them household names. That's right, the family -- which includes Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson,"Mama" June Shannon, Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson and Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell -- are not happy with the way they have been treated by the network. In fact, they are filling complaints saying that The Learning Channel is in breach of its contractual agreement. Mama June's health insurance also isn't being paid after she contracted pneumonia.
According to TMZ, the show was canceled in October after a molestation scandal involving the family become public news, but the stars of the series are claiming the network hasn't been following through on its agreement since then.
TLC was allegedly supposed to pay the family's heath insurance through the end of May, when their contracts expire, but it doesn't seem like it has made good on that arrangement since November.

According to International Business Times, the network released a statement saying that it would continue to support the health and welfare of the children in the family, but according to Mama June that doesn't seem to be happening, which is scary after she was just hospitalized with pneumonia.
"TLC has canceled the series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately. Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being," the statement explained.
In addition to that, the family doesn't think it is right that they have to hold up their end of the agreement and be tied to the network until their contracts run out in May. June has already been trying to get the family back on TV, but TLC has put a stop to all these efforts, as it claims that it still owns the family until May.
But with them not paying the medical bills, June is wondering why she should still answer to the network. As they haven't received any money, the matriarch of the family feels that they should be allowed to negotiate with other entertainment companies before their contracts run out in May.
May is quickly approaching, so you can bet that you'll be seeing a lot more of this family sooner rather than later.
