Kate Gosselin Dating Again, Throws Shade at Ex Jon, Wants Male Role Model for 8 Kids

Kate Gosselin is ready to get back on the dating scene, not just for herself but for her eight kids. The reality star of Kate Plus 8 explained that she is looking to get back on the horse not just for her own enjoyment but so that her kids could have a male figure to look up to. We are sure that her comments didn't sit too well with the kids' actual father Jon Gosselin.

According to Radar Online, Kate opened up in a new interview where she explained that the reason she wanted to start seeing people again was for her children.

"I would love to date," the mother said in an new interview. "I would love for the kids to have that male role model."

Ouch, do you want some ice for that burn, Jon?

It seems that now is the perfect time for Kate to get back out there, as her kids are starting to get older. Her twins, Mady and Cara, are now 14 years old while her sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Joel, Collin, Hannah and Leah have just reached the decade mark at 10.

While most kids aren't so receptive to their parents dating after a divorce, it seems that Kate's kids are pushing her to start seeing new people.

"They are encouraging me more and more," the star explained. "I just don't have a lot of time to be out there ... searching for someone!"

Well it might seem that Kate has already found someone, as she has been linked to her bodyguard Steve Neild and businessman Jeff Prescott in the past couple of months.

However, while she wants to get back out there, Kate explains that she doesn't know if she would be able to do the whole marriage thing again.

"I don't know," the star said of tying the knot again. "I wish it would have worked for me."
