From Emmy award-winning Mark Burnett (Survivor), Lucha Underground presents an all-new episode on El Rey Network. Before Team Cuerno and Team Puma jump into the wrestling ring for the Trios Title Match, Creative Head Chris DeJoseph dishes on the show's format.

Ever since launching his own network, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For filmmaker Robert Rodriguez has entertained audiences with his From Dusk Till Dawn TV series. As we previously mentioned, El Rey rides into lucha libre, the no-holds barred world of freestyle wrestling and high-flying aerial maneuvers. In Mexico's most popular sport, the masked villains and heroes confront against each other in thrilling one-on-one matches.

According to the release, there are now six of the best luchadores in the Temple, but who will earn the last spot in the final round of Trios Title Match? In the ring, it will become a heated battle between Team Cuerno and Team Puma. The intensity doesn't stop there as the 'Best of Five' series continues with Drago taking on Aerostar in an unforgettable match.

According to Wrestling Zone, Lucha Underground creative head Chris DeJoseph appeared on the Busted Open satellite radio show hosted by Dave Lagreca, Doug Mortman, and Mike Riker.

DeJoseph explains the one-hour format, "So we're relatively, very young in terms of wrestling and in terms of other wrestling shows out there. We take baby steps, personally I like the one hour format. I wrote for the WWE where you had to write 2 hours of Raw, 2 hours of SmackDown, a Main Event, Velocity, Heat, I think at one point we were writing 8 hours of television a week. I think creatively it's tough to keep up with that type of schedule especially the way Connecticut changes things on the fly and makes changes to thing so often. Here, we're generally more focused, we have an hour we can give you just enough and leave you wanting more and I that's kind of fun, especially today, with television shows and Netflix, and Hulu they have time to sit down and invest some time for a brief amount of time."

The creative head adds, "So I think if you can come in and tell a good story in an hour, I think people can accept that. Three hours is an awful long time to have a fan or audience member invested. It's a tough task for them and I'm glad I don't have to do that every week."

Lucha Underground continues Wednesdays at 8:00 pm on the El Rey Network.
