Former WWE star Shawn Michaels, arguably the greatest performer in the history of the business, appeared on Jim Ross' podcast, The Ross Report, this week and discussed the possibility of a match at WrestleMania 32 in his home state of Texas.
JR talked about the possibility of Michaels' coming out of retirement for a match in AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
"I've already had an offer," HBK told JR. "I've enjoyed being retired."
Michaels also talked about his lack of interest in a job with WWE Creative or even at the Performance Center in Orlando:
"It wouldn't be a great fit for me. There'd be a lot of stifling going on. I've been able to sway them on things other people couldn't. I'd be open to the Pat Patterson gig, where you have a couple of projects and you could write in from home about it. If you're going to be there every week, you might as well go back and be an on-air character and make more money."
Michaels' last match was a classic against the Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania 26, and one would be hard pressed to find a more fitting end to a career than that.
Rumors flare each year around Mania season about an HBK comeback, and the most recent chance of a realistic return occurred in late 2013 when he had miniature scuffles with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk.
