Robert Herjavec and his Dancing With the Stars partner Kym Johnson might be heating up the dance floor, but is their off-screen romance about to sizzle out before it has even had time to burn? The couple, who are paired with each other on the 20th season of the ABC reality competition, started the rumor mill turning earlier this year when it was reported that they were doing more than dancing together on-screen. In fact, Herjavec started that Kym had helped him get over his divorce from his wife of 14 years, Diane Plese.
While the stars look like they are in love when they hit the dance floor, it is being reported by Celebrity Dirty Laundry that the couple may be faking their interest in each other just for the show.
While others in the past have used this faux romance technique to get ahead in the competition (cough, cough) Val Chmerkovskiy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy (cough cough), it seems that Kym could be cozying up to the Shark Tank hunk just to get some better scores from America.
However, those close to Herjavec are nervous that Kym might be using the 51-year-old businessman, which is something that makes them worried for his health. The star was candid about his divorce from Plese where he explained that he became extremely depressed and even suicidal following the fallout from the relationship.
Through DWTS Robert has revealed that Kym has helped him out of the depression he felt after his divorce, but those close to him are worried that should Kym breakup with him when the season is over that he will spiral back into his depression.
According to E! News, it doesn't seem like the romance is being faked at all, as Kym told the site that they are overcoming adversity together, which has made them stronger as a couple.
"I didn't know how getting these low scores would affect Robert, but I fell like it's even made our connection even stronger," the starlet told the news site.
Watch Kym and Robert dance tonight on an all-new episode of Dancing With The Stars on ABC.
