Kim Richards' sobriety has been making headlines during the last couple of months, as well as throughout this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. While it seemed that Richards had everything under control over the course of season five, the starlet ran into a little bit of trouble earlier this month when she was arrested for public intoxication. Turns out that the RHOBH actress was spotted throwing back vodka tonics at the Beverly Hills Pool Longue last week, and was subsequently arrested after acting out.

According to Fox News, Kim is owning up to her mistakes rather than sweeping them under the rug, as she took full responsibility for her actions that night.

The 50-year-old reality star opened up to Dr. Phil in a new interview, where she told the TV host that none of this would have happened if she hadn't decide to drink that night.

"I was angry and frightened and I was scared, "the star explained to the TV personality. "I knew what I had done- the whole night is my fault- none of this would have happened if I didn't drink."

Kim was charged with resisting arrest, public drunkenness, battery of a cop, and even trespassing on April 16, after she refused to leave the restroom at the nightclub.

While the incident is definitely a scary one, some good might have come out of it, as Bravo producers are thinking of adding a clause into Kim's contract that says if she wants to keep her job she has to remain sober, according to Radar Online.

"[Producers] do not want to get rid of Kim on the show because she does so amazing for ratings," the insider explained. "But they also think that keeping her on the air is not conducive to her well-being."

The Dr. Phil interview is set to air on April 28.
