Paris Hilton's Chihuahua Tinkerbell Dead at 14: 'Simple Life' Star Mourns on Instagram

The early millennial years were different times. IPhones didn't exist yet and Kim Kardashian was on the cusp of gracing us with Keeping up With the Kardashians. Instead, we had AOL and our biggest reality star was Paris Hilton. Before the Kardashians ever had a show Hilton had the Simple Life. Tragically, one of her Simple Life co-stars has passed. At the age of 14, her Chihuahua Tinkerbell is no longer with us. And Hilton is addressing it on Instagram.

Hilton broke the sad news on her Instagram account Tuesday night:

"My heart is broken," she posted. "I am so sad & devastated. After 14 amazing years together my baby Tinkerbell has passed away of old age. We went through so much together. I can't believe she's gone. I will miss her & think about her for the rest of my life. I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten."

The last time we saw Tinkerbell was seven-months-ago. Fans wanted an update on the tiny pup and Hilton responded by posting a video of her on Instagram. In the video, Tinkerbell quickly runs on her bed. She then spastically looks to the left and right to scout the area. It looked as if she was as healthy and speedy as ever back then.

In honor of Tinkerbell's passing, Paris has unofficially made Tuesday Tinkerbell Day on Instagram. Her #RIPTinkerbell hashtag will surely be one of sadness, tribute and lots of Paris Hilton jokes – because that's just what happens on the internet regardless of what happens. Right now Hilton's Instagram is filled with more than a dozen of her favorite shots with Tinkerbell.

"In honor & memory of Tinkerbell I'm dedicating my Instagram page to her today. I hope you enjoy the memories of my sweet angel. We've been through so much together. She lived a long, beautiful, luxurious & exciting life."
