As David Letterman is winding down his time on CBS' Late Show, he's calling in some heavy-hitting names to help him say goodbye. And a couple of days ago he had Mumford and Sons feature on his Legends on Letterman special to not only perform a 45-minute set, but also somewhat "launch" their newest album Wilder Mind. And unsurprisingly, it was wonderful...
"Thank you so much for being here," said singer Marcus Mumford after opening the show with the single "Snake Eyes." He further joked that the night felt like an album launch party.
"It's such a release to have that f*cking record out..."
Mumford and Sons continued on their set with some songs off the new record, and even some old favorites. The setlist was as follows:
"Snake Eyes"
"Ditmas"
"The Cave" (off the band's debut album Sigh No More)
"I Will Wait" (off the second album Babel)
"Broad-Shouldered Beasts"
"Tompkins Square Park"
"Hot Gates"
"Believe"
"The Wolf"
Now, while the full set isn't up for viewing anywhere other than on CBS, you can head on over to the Late Show site to check out the full performance.
Before taking to the Legends on Letterman stage, Mumford and Sons appeared on the Late Show to promote the performance, their new album and play a rendition of "Believe." Check it out below:
