The countdown continues with 2 episodes of The Flash left on the CW network. In Episode 22, will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) be able to protect Iris West (Candice Patton) as he becomes "desperate" for help from Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), the leader of DC Comics super villains team, The Rogues?
In our previous recap, Cisco, Caitlin, and Barry discovered the Reverse-Flash's Time Vault, which revealed the scarlet speedster's future. Caitlin recognized the name of the newspaper article and pointed out, Iris West-Allen. Barry is destined to one day marry the love of his life, but Eddie has plans of his own to propose to Iris. Just when the Reverse-Flash kidnapped Eddie, Iris discovered the man behind the red suit is really Barry.
In our recent recap, the Reverse-Flash revealed the future to Eddie, where Iris married Barry and hyphenated her name, West-Allen. The group had a hard time taking down Gorilla Grodd, who moved away from the sewers and became loose in the city. No longer under Grodd's control, General Eiling (Clancy Brown) told Barry they would need each other because Wells is their common enemy.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teases what's coming up with the super villain team, The Rogues, "The episode is entitled Rogue Air. The team discovers that the pipeline is no longer secure, and they have to move all the metahumans that are there. Especially in the last few episodes, you want to nod back to the entire season. In season 5 of Doctor Who, they open an episode with seeing all the characters [that] the Doctor and Amy had hooked up with over the course of the year. In a way, this reminds me of that, where we get to see the Weather Wizard, Peekaboo, The Mist, Deathbolt and Rainbow Raider again. It's fun."

In an interview with Yahoo TV, Jesse L. Martin adds, "It's not necessarily an 'I told you so moment,' but it is brought up and Barry pretty much says 'Thank you for not saying it.' So it is approached, but I never actually have to say those words. But Barry gets in bed basically with one of the super villains and that can never go well. We're learning that with Harrison Wells. We don't even know Captain Cold that well. So the fact that Barry's so desperate for help that he would go to somebody like that just sticks in Joe's craw like you wouldn't believe."
The Flash continues on Tuesdays at 8pm on the CW.
