NeNe Leakes Reveals Why She had Major Breakdown on 'RHOA' Reunion

NeNe Leakes is finally speaking out about her breakdown on the last episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta and it seems that all the ladies she used to bully and throw shade at came to her aid, except for Kandi Burruss who seemed confused at her meltdown.

If you are a fan of the show, you probably remember when Leakes started talking about her parents, pausing until she started to cry. Leakes' husband, Greg Leakes also seemed to shed some light on why his wife was tearful and how her past made her upset.

Greg told Andy Cohen that memories of her mother leaving her when she was a young girl are hard for NeNe to get through.

NeNe also wrote some messages via Instagram and on her website that seemed to help explain the situation.

In a cryptic note, she said: "Any friend that turned into an enemy has been hating since day one."

"Honestly I do not like being vulnerable in front of people who do not like me!" she revealed.

"My exterior can be tough to some but my heart is gold! I have gotten soooo many text messages about this scene tonight. (I didn't watch) my phone has literally caught on fire! I'm happy to know that I helped or inspired anyone that watch #RHOA #strongwoman," she added.

NeNe has had some ups and downs with some of her former friends, including Cynthia Bailey, and even had some heated moments with Kenya Moore and Claudia Jordan this season, but instead of bashing each other more, some of the ladies decided to check on NeNe when she started to cry to make sure she was ok.

"Thanks so much to @porsha4real @phaedraparks for calming me, not judging me, cleaning makeup off my white suit and just being there for a sista! I got nothing but love for ya," adding that Cynthia too also helped when she was slammed via Instagram for not including her name in the first caption above. "So Thankful for Porsha & Phaedra! They didn't judge me! They calmed me and gave me strength that day! Thank you @porsha4real @phaedraparks @cynthiabailey10 gave me a big ole hug."

Leakes also thanked her husband for standing by her side for years, even in this hard moment. "This man loves me unconditionally and trust me the feeling is mutual! Always there to catch me when I fall."
