We all know that movie trailers can be a bit misleading. Some scenes are shown in the preview and not including in the final cut shown in theaters. This is acceptable. But if you're, say a Men's Rights "activist" viewing a trailer that is pretty manly and guy-centric in nature, only to read movie reviews of it later finding out that it is actually heavy in the feminism department, you'll probably think the best thing to do is call for a boycott. This is what's happening with Mad Max: Fury Road, which stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. Director George Miller's latest has rubbed one Men's Rights website the wrong way, which was accomplished by making Theron (an Academy Award winning actress) the lead in the action film, which also includes some dramatic elements and deep plot points about gender.

Again, we get that trailers can be a little frustrating, but the Fury Road advertisements haven't really held back the fact that Theron takes the lead in this epic. Watch the latest trailer right here:
As you can see, the character Max is kind of thrown into this situation, adding his own elements to the storyline.
After reading some reviews of the movie and finding out that Vagina Monologues author Eve Ensler served as a consultant on the film, this one Men's Rights website has called for a boycott of the movie.
"Not only REFUSE to see the movie, but spread the word to as many men as possible," this website stated, according to Gamma Squad. "Because if they sheepishly attend and Fury Road is a blockbuster, then you, me, and all the other men (and real women) in the world will never be able to see a real action movie ever again that doesn't contain some damn political lecture or moray about feminism, SJW-ing, and socialism [sic]."
