The story blends seamlessly into the George Miller movie franchise!

In a world where film studios are desperately rebooting and remaking iconic movies of the past, Mad Max: Fury Road is a sequel to the original trilogy starring Mel Gibson. Yes, Tom Hardy is now in the title role, but he's portraying the character in the same way as Gibson, in a story that is a continuation of George Miller's scripts, according to numerous reviews and interviews.

It has an almost perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes!

This film is "Certified Fresh" on the movie ratings website, but if you actually check out the rating, it's very close to a 100% approval rating from critics and fans. Critical acclaim is definitely reason enough to check out a movie, but with normal film fans also haring positive reviews of it, you've got no reason to miss out!

The original Max Rockatansky actor, Mel Gibson called his replacement "more crazy" than he is!

After surprising the cast and crew at the world premiere of the movie last week, Gibson made his approval of Hardy taking over the iconic film role known. In fact, Hardy told the media recently that he had Mel's blessing early on in the casting process.

"My agent called me and said Mel rang up to say that you're a good egg and that he's met somebody more crazy than he is," the new Mad Max said, according to The Daily Mail.

With both Gibson and Miller excited about Hardy's portrayal of the character, we're excited for this weekend, and hope that the actor's additional 3-film deal works out!

This all-out action fun fest of fire and explosions has a feminist plotline, with Charlize Theron as the real "hero" of the film!

This might seem a little weird to some, but if you're paying attention in the trailers, Theron shines as a powerful lead with Hardy's character playing more of a supportive role in the plot.
