In the fourth game of the Golden State Warriors-Houston Rockets playoff series Steph Curry took a scary fall on the court. With 5:52 remaining on the clock the NBA's MVP went to block a layup by Trevor Ariza but Ariza didn't go for it and because of this, Curry jumped at a weird angle. He hit the floor soon after. Since he had no ability to get his hands to block the fall, Curry landed hard on his head and back. For a few minutes, he laid on the floor. Nobody knew if he was conscious at the time.
The stadium's medical staff brought out a stretcher but Curry was able to leave the game on his own two feet. At that point it looked like he was okay except for the dazed look on his face.
At halftime, Curry's diagnosis came in and it looked as if things were okay. His return was deemed questionable but the Warriors' General Manager announced he had been diagnosed with a head contusion. The injury came at a time when the Rockets scored 45 points in the quarter.
Curry returned with 5:58 remaining in the third quarter. Upon his return, he went 7 of 18. Six of 13 were from deep. In the 31 minutes he played, Curry scored 23 points.
The Warriors ended up losing the game 128-115. Game 5 will be played on Wednesday night at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. Curry will probably be playing in that game as he returned in the third quarter of game 4 but if anything changes, it's hard to say if the star is a definite. The Rockets will be a tough matchup for the Warriors going into Game 5. Their star, James Harden, is on fire while the Warriors MVP, Curry, might not be 100%.
Do you think Curry should have returned to the game after his head on the floor?
