According to IGN, a source told Rooster Teeth that Microsoft was allegedly in talks late last week with Konami to purchase and release Silent Hills as an Xbox One exclusive. Considering this was an anonymous source, everyone was a bit weary to get too excited. Check out this report right here:

When IGN reached out the Microsoft to ask about this rumor, they received a pretty vague response explaining that the company "does not comment on rumor or speculation."

About a day after this rumor started, Xbox's chief Phil Spencer cleared up this rumor on Twitter when a follower asked about the future of Silent Hills.

"Sorry, this isn't true," Spencer responded to a question on Twitter (via IGN). "Not sure where the rumor started but I don't want to mislead anyone."
