Looks like Tamar Braxton has some explaining to do after being a "no show" at L.A.'s Gay Pride Festival. According to TMZ, Tamar was MIA a few days before her scheduled performance.
L.A. Pride Executive Producer Jeff Consoletti revealed that The Real host and Braxtons Family Values star was confirmed for the 45th anniversary, but went mute near showtime.
Consoletti revealed that they were forced to pull Tamar's act and book someone else. He claims that Tamar gave them the cold shoulder when asked about her whereabouts and why she didn't choose to perform during the festival.
Tamar's lucky because the organizers of the event aren't going to take her to court about the failed arrangement. The only reason they are not pursuing legal action is because Vincent Herbert's wife didn't pickup her paycheck!
Now singer Ivy Levan and rapper Angel Haze will be filling in.
MStars News wonders if Tamar is choosing to sit this show out because of her religious upbringing? If you are a fan of the Braxtons' show, then you know that the singer's mother, Evelyn, and their father raised them to be very strict about their actions.
Toni Braxton in the past claimed that their parents thought singing was a "sin," but their talents can't be why Tamar decided not to perform. After all, the girls have been singing for years, and even have their lives taped on reality TV.
Another possibility for Tamar not hitting the stage was her son's birthday, but it's not likely. MStars News previously reported that Tamar, her sister Towanda Braxton, and her husband and manager, Vincent Herbert took Logan to Disneyland for his second birthday.
Tamar! Please speak up on this one, why aren't you performing at L.A. Pride? We're sure your fellow Tamaritans would love to know why you will be missing in the line up!
This year's event will be in West Hollywood June 12–14.
