While there have been a lot of rumors surrounding the future of E! series, Fashion Police, it seems like things are starting to look up in regards to the comedy series. Reports have been circling saying that the series has found themselves a brand new host now that Kathy Griffin has thrown in the towel after only a handful of episodes. Along with the departure of Kelly Osbourne, the show might have seemed like it was headed to the TV graveyard, but Melissa Rivers is allegedly saving the show from oblivion, as it is what her late mother, Joan Rivers, would have wanted.
While Melissa's hosting involvement with the show was just a rumor for a while, E! News (via Radar Online) has just released a statement saying that she will definitely be taking a spot in front of the camera when the show returns to the airwaves.
"We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the Fashion Police cameras," Jeff Olde, an executive at the network explained in the statement. "As an executive producer since the beginning, Melissa helped shape Fashion Police into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy."
Co-host, Brad Goreski, who joined the series at the same time as Griffin, will also be returning to the show and he couldn't be happier for Melissa's addition to the cast.
"Yay! So excited that @MelRivers is going to be the new co-host on @e_FashionPolice!! It's going to be so much fun," the stylist tweeted.
