Canada Day 2015! Top 5 Famous Funny Canadians: Jim Carrey to Seth Rogen

It's Canada Day, folks. And while that doesn't mean much to most Americans, maybe we can at the very least take some appreciation from the vast number of oh, so funny comedians and actors that have come from our friends up north. You know the names- people like Jim Carrey, Seth Rogen, Martin Short, etc.

With this in mind, MStars News has decided to pull from the lengthy list of comedic names and narrow down the top five funny celebrities from Canada.

SETH ROGEN

Oh, Seth Rogen- your hazy comedy has been able to churn out hit after hit and laugh after laugh over the years. We thank you for Knocked Up; we thank you for Pineapple Express; and we certainly thank you for Superbad. Now, sure, we don't really thank you for The Green Hornet, but hey, everyone has their exceptions.

MARTIN SHORT

Martin Short has been making us laugh for decades. From his stints on Saturday Night Live to his famed Jiminy Glick interviews on Talk of the Town, Short has been an unbelievable amount of talent for years. Yes, Mulaney might have been a miss, but we'll let that one slide.

JIM CARREY

Recent Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee guest Jim Carrey exploded in the 90s, with several films that are still heavily quotable today. He's also one of the few comics who was able to make a transition into dramatic acting. But no matter what he does, he'll still be that dude who bent over and talked out of his ass in Ace Ventura.

LORNE MICHAELS

Sure, Lorne Michaels isn't really a performer at all, but he is certainly a funny man. Come on- the guy created Saturday Night Live and knows talent.

WILL ARNETT

Will Arnett will forever be Gob Bluth from Arrested Development in our eyes. And that alone makes him one of the funniest people on the planet.
