'Adventure Time' Renewed for Season 8 Episodes on Cartoon Network: New Characters & Stories!

Cartoon Network this week announced its 2015 renewals, and we're happy to tell you that the popular animated feature Adventure Time is coming back soon with brand new episodes in season eight! Adventure Time is one of five series that received season renewals from the TV network this week. Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa, Steven Universe and Clarence are the other fan-favorite shows that will return with new episodes (via UPROXX).

"It's a banner year for Cartoon Network Studios original productions," network executive Rob Sorcher said this week in an official statement, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "It is particularly gratifying to see shows so creatively forward-thinking also deliver so powerfully with the audience."

This news coincides with the network's recent announcement of 2015 Comic-Con San Diego panels that will also include Adult Swim shows. According to Variety, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim are set to host panels at the convention starting this Friday, July 10.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever, Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell, Rick and Morty, Mike Tyson Mysteries, Robot Chicken and more shows will host panels this year, with new episodes of Adventure Time premiering as well for some lucky convention audience members.
