On July 4th, the WWE took their top talents to Japan for the Beast In The East live event on the WWE Network. For guys like Finn Balor and Chris Jericho, their matches not only showcased their talents, it was also a homecoming. When a younger Jericho made his way to Japan, he solidified himself as the Lion Heart and that put him on the path to make him the legend he is today. His match with Neville not only proved how great he is, but it showed Y2J still has it. The match was nothing less than five stars but sadly, there was a down side to it. Jericho left the bout injured. It was the only bummer to an otherwise great battle between dueling generations.
It is being reported that the injury took place when Jericho caught Neville for a dive. At first, it was believed to be a serious one as he revealed on his Talk Is Jericho podcast on the Podcast One network. Those reports have died down though as Jericho is expected to make a quick recovery in a few days.

The WWE should be thankful the injury wasn't a serious one and that Jericho is making a quick return over the weekend at a house show in Pittsburgh. In the main event, he'll go against his old rival, John Cena, in a Street Fight. Its unknown whether the match will be for the United States championship. The match is essentially the 10-year anniversary of a rivalry that took off in the summer of 2005. Back then, he and Cena stole the show in a one-on-one match for the WWE title. At that time, it was Cena's first run as champion. Fifteen championships later and they're still going at it.
