Caitlyn Jenner had her first major appearance in front of a crowd at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles last night. Jenner was awarded the annual Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPN based sports show and the newly transitioned star was met with a smattering of applause. Jenner was emotional in her speech and said the Trans community deserves our respect—especially suicidal teens struggling to come out. With the emotional moment, Twitter was abuzz and it was mostly positive.

That was a really lovely and necessary acceptance speech by Caitlyn Jenner. Especially grateful she discussed murdered/suicidal trans teens.
