The Season 4 finale of Person of Interest aired on CBS. Before Season 5 of Person of Interest, premieres in 2016, will the 13 episodes starring Michael Emerson (Finch), Jim Caviezel (Reese), and Amy Acker (Root) ultimately be their "greatest work ever?"
In our finale recap, we last saw Sameen Shaw walking away willingly with Samaritan's agents, possibly because she was brainwashed. As Samaritan's agents took out Elias and Dominic, Greer's men put a bag over Control's face and took her hostage. As Pink Floyd's Welcome to the Machine started playing, Finch walked out, with no gun, alongside Reese and Root as they started shooting down Samaritan's agents.
As we previously mentioned, the cast and crew of POI were taking over San Diego Comic Con for what appeared to be the last time for the show. This was the opportunity for POI cast and crew to finally address the upcoming 13 episodes that will air in midseason. If this is the last season, Nolan promised "that it would probably end badly for many characters and maybe there will be some hope and possibility of redemption."
In an interview with IGN, Nolan knows what he wants, "We're going to make 13 kickass episodes, and drop the microphone."
The Interstellar co-screenwriter adds, "I can't predict down the road but we're very proud of the show and if it's the last season, no one is going to be disappointed with the story we tell."
For Entertainment Weekly's Greatest Story Ever Told video series, Emerson offers words of wisdom about the importance of grace under pressure. The Lost actor describes stepping onto the stage for the first time and reciting the poetic lines of Iago from the Shakespeare play, Othello.
Episodes of Person of Interest and Elementary will air on WGN America in the fall.
Readers, are you excited to see Season 5 of POI?
