Elton John And David Furnish New Baby Boy: Became Parents For Their Second Boy Child Named Elijah

Pop singer Elton John and his partner and filmmaker, David Furnish have a new boy child.

The boy named Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John was born in Los Angeles, Jan. 11 to a surrogate mother, reported Hello!

"Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable. The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement," the couple told the magazine.

John and Furnish entered into civil partnership Dec. 21, 2005. They already have a son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, who was also born of surrogate mother Dec. 25, 2010.

John wanted to adopt a baby boy called Lev from an AIDS orphanage in Ukraine. But the government denied them permission due to their marital status and age.

John and Furnish married after living twelve years together.

John had earlier said, "I think it's difficult to be an only child, and to be an only child of someone famous."

"I know when he goes to school there's going to be an awful lot of pressure, and I know he's going to have people saying, 'You don't have a mummy.'"

"I want someone to be at his side and back him up," BBC reported.
