Floyd Mayweather just came off the most hyped fight of the decade with Manny Pacquiao. Granted, the title he won from Pacquiao became null-and-void because fighters can't have titles in more than one weight class, but he still beat the pac-man nonetheless. Many wondered whether there would be a rematch between the two and it looks like that rumor has been put to rest. It'll never happen again. The reason for this is because the final fight for Mayweather will take place this September against Andre Berto. The fight will be televised on CBS and not on boxing's primary pay-per-view platform.
Berto is 30-3 but many feel he isn't good enough to face someone the likes of Mayweather. Experts are saying a better opponent for the undefeated 48-0 champion is Amir Khan or Keith Thurman. While Berto won his first 27 fights, the last few have been a little rocky. In his last 6 fights he is 3-3 but is currently on a two-fight win streak after beating Steve Upsher Chambers and Josesito Lopez.

Here's what Twitter thinks of Mayweather's last fight:
If Mayweather actually fights Andre Berto he's an even bigger loser than originally thought. Guy's legacy already sucks... Not gonna help

If Amir Khan brings nothing to the table at least he can get a reservation, Andre Berto hasn't had a reservation in years #MayweatherBerto — Mark (@theboxingbrains) July 15, 2015
Andre Berto is a young hungry lion, who can't be overlooked!

Andre Berto not even ranked among top 10 welterweight contenders by Ring Magazine or TBRB. Lots of better competition for Floyd out there. — Kelsey McCarson (@KelseyMcCarson) July 15, 2015© 2024 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
