DeSean Jackson's Advice to Unborn Baby With Kayla Phillips: "Think Before You Do It"

When it comes to his impending fatherhood, DeSean Jackson claims that he's ready but a bit nervous. During a chat with Boris Kodjoe, and Nicole Parker on their new talkshow, The Boris and Nicole Show, Jackson opened up about his future with Kayla Phillips and their baby that's on the way.

"As soon as DeSean sat down, Nicole didn't waste anytime congratulating the football star on his future baby.

Around the 34 minute mark, Nicole said, "Congratulations DeSean. So you're having a baby, you're joining the club."

He replied, "I am joining the club finally."

When Nicole asked him if he was nervous, DeSean didn't hesitate to say, "a little bit....I think it's good nervousness."

"I'm at that age where I feel like I'm maturing and I just want to start that legacy and have my little one come," he explained.

Besides talking about his unborn child, DeSean was asked by Boris how he met Kayla.

"One of my jewelers, it was a good friend of mine, I met her through him," he revealed.

"I actually saw a picture of her and was like, 'I'm interested,'" he added.

Jackson claimed that it was love at first site. "It's something special. I'm excited it's a lot of great things going on right now in my life I'm just looking forward to doing great things."

When it comes to advice for his little one, Jackson said, "Everyone we live. You go through things in life like, 'I need to stop doing that' or you get to a point where too much is enough. Sometimes you have to figure it out, but I think the overall choice I would say is just take it a step at a time and think about certain things before you do it because being young and having a lot of success and the world is in your hands, but sometimes you got to step back and view the situation is what I'd tell my kid," the soon-to-be dad said.

Despite DeSean being excited about fatherhood, MStars News previously reported that his mother, Gayle Jackson, isn't that happy. Mrs. Jackson believes that Kayla is a woman out to get a meal ticket from her son who now plays with the Washington Redskins.

"How you know somebody ain't trying to set you up," DeSean's mom asked. "We all know, including me that there are women who like to set traps. If they see a successful man in America, they don't even have to be that good looking as long as they make money, a lot of women want that."

Gayle also asked her son to get a DNA test when his son arrives.

"The reality of the situation, okay DeSean, there goes your money out the door...a lot of women make that their mission. I have a man who can take care of me and my baby for the rest of their life.... and in this situation you just have to know," she previously said on their reality show, DeSean Jackson: Home Team.

For the sake of the unborn child, DeSean did get his mother to smile for a photo during Kayla's recent baby shower.

Hopefully things will get better between Gayle and Kayla when the baby is born.
