Comedian Wyatt Cenac recently made an appearance on Marc Maron's WTF podcast and admitted that he and Daily Show host Jon Stewart had a little bit of a rocky relationship while he was at the show. When asked if he and Stewart got along during his four and a half years as a correspondent on the Comedy Central hit, Cenac responded, "Nah."
Cenac told Maron that at the end of the day, Stewart "was a boss."
Elaborating further, the comedian admitted that Stewart is the kind of guy who stays in his office. "It wasn't like he hung out," he said.
Furthermore, Cenac notes that the longest conversation he had with Stewart was the day he quit. "I honestly thought in that conversation, 'This is how I wished I'd been able to talk to you for four and a half years, and maybe I wouldn't be leaving now if we had this kind of relationship,' where it just even felt like respect."

One of the things that appeared to put some room between he and Stewart was a joke the show did about Herman Cain, which Cenac reportedly found to be offensive. His opposition to it eventually led to a "heated altercation." The correspondent stayed on the show for a year after that but confessed to Maron that he was rather unhappy the entire time.
Later on in the conversation, Cenac explains that he's not too sure if he'll head to the final episode of The Daily Show, which will occur this coming Aug. 6.
