'Teen Mom 2' Jenelle Evans Custody Battle With Mom Barbara Hits Bump, But Will Continue!

Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has been shown all season long battling her mother Barbara Evans for custody of her son Jace. However, it looks like there has been a stumbling block in the MTV star's attempt to regain full control of her 6 year-old son.

"Jenelle's hearing was continued until November," a source told Radar Online. "These cases take time. It isn't an easy thing to get custody back and Jenelle has an uphill battle."

The mother of two has had a lot of drama to deal with lately ever since calling off her engagement to Nathan Griffith, whom she accused of cheating on her.

"It was good when Jenelle was with Nathan because it showed a stable household, but that has changed now that they're broken up," the source went on. "She has a long way to go to get custody back but she's trying really hard."

The reality mom recently opened up to Us Weekly about coming to mutual agreement with her mother when it comes to visitation of Jace.

"We're trying to work together, me and my mom, to try to come up with a solution," Jenelle said. "We've been on good terms lately and especially because she sees that I'm just trying to get myself prepared for my future. And she sees that's the most important thing to me right now, and I think she appreciates that a lot."

"I'm so busy with school and my externship," she continued. "I'm trying to tell my mom, my lawyer, and everyone, I'm like, 'Look, I know Jace is important right now, but, you know, my graduation is coming up in July.' So I mean, that is just, it's the no. 1 priority right now."

As MStars News reported, Jenelle decided to concentrate her energy on her career and sons ever since breaking up with her on again/off again fiancé.

"I'm enjoying being a mom," the North Carolina native told Entertainment Tonight in a statement. "I just celebrated my first son's 6th birthday this weekend and it went fantastic. I am not looking to date anyone at the moment. I am focusing on myself."
