It looks as if Paul Fieg's new all-female Ghostbusters is getting some approval from one of the originals. Actually, a couple. It's being reported that Bill Murray is all ready and confirmed to make a cameo in the new reboot, which stars the likes of Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig.
Murray isn't the only original buster set to make an appearance. Word has it that Dan Aykroyd is also going to be in the film.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Murray's role in the new Ghostbusters film is going to be kept a secret.
It might be surprising for some to hear that Murray is making a cameo, especially since he was the reason a third Ghostbusters was never made. But perhaps since this is a rather different project (kind of) he decided to make fans across the globe happy.
On the reboot, Murray said last year, "It sounds great to me. It sounds as good an idea as any other! There are a lot of women that could scare off any kind of vapor!"
He further said, "No, it's a grand idea, I don't know who they're talking about, but it's a good idea. I would watch it."
It appears he's doing more than watching it.
The all-female Ghostbusters cast recently made news when they visited a children's hospital in Boston dressed in costume.
