Complications continues on USA Network with an all-new episode. In tonight's Episode 10, will Doctor John Ellison (Jason O'Mara), his nurse Gretchen Polk (Jessica Szohr), and gangster Darius Bishop (Chris Chalk) survive the first season finale?
In our previous recap, Dr. John Ellison (Mara) is a suburban doctor who used to be at the top of his game in the emergency room. Outside of work, Ellison is dealing with the emotional downfall of his daughter's death. With the loss of his daughter, Ellison suddenly finds redemption after he saves a young boy's life from a drive-by shooting. Gretchen (Szohr), a street-smart ER nurse, is caught in the middle when Ellison becomes involved in a gang war led by Darius Bishop (Chalk).
In our recent recap, John revealed everything to his wife Samantha (Beth Riesgraf) how he became involved with Darius. After meeting with Antwone's father in prison, John risked his professional career to stop an impending gang war. John was an emotional wreck after Samantha revealed she had an affair. Things don't look too good for John after Darius promised he's coming after him.
In an interview with TV Line, the Gossip Girls actress reveals what's coming up, " A couple of things come out, total twists that you wouldn't expect, and we get a phone call that's very life-threatening - totally separate and different from anything else going on in the season. It'll be interesting to see who is on the other end of that phone call...."
Szohr adds, "The journey with Complications has been interesting because we did the pilot at the end of 2013. Now that the first season has aired, it's been fun to finally see it put all together. There's so much action, I wanted to see how those scenes turned out, with the explosions, breaking into cars, the gunshots...."
Complications airs its first season finale on USA Network Thursday at 9pm.
Jessica Szohr will next be seen on Season 2 of Kingdom on October 14.
