The CW's Arrow will be back for season 4 this October, and it was clear from the events in season 3 that Oliver would need a new "Arrow Cave" once he returned to his heroic ways. And now, you can check out the first photo of the lair! Check out this preview of the upcoming 2015 episodes below. [SPOILERS to follow]
Entertainment Weekly has posted the picture, which you can check out here. The first thing you'll likely notice is the large round table surrounded by black leather chairs. This seems to indicate a much more collaborative team environment, a far cry from the solitary style that suited Oliver in the first three seasons. But, Season 3 for Oliver was all about growth and letting people help as his universe expands, so this fits the theme well.
“In designing the new lair, we had to think in terms of the much larger group that Oliver [Stephen Amell] has now surrounded himself with and how Team Arrow is a much bigger enterprise,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim, who did not detail the actual location of the new cave within Star City, told EW.
“One of the fun things about this lair is that as opposed to one big space, where everyone would congregate, it’s now a much larger space divided up into smaller spaces,” he added. “There is an area for Felicity [Emily Bett Rickards] to work, there is an area for Oliver to work out, and there is a garage. There are many different places we’ll continue to discover over the course of the season that give you a sense that this thing is a bit bigger than we got used to in the first three years.”
And yes, the Salmon Ladder is still there in what the writers have termed "The Arrow Bunker," EW reports.
Other highlights in the photo include the containers filled with what appear to be numerous costumes, a weapons rack, a large raised platform in the center of the room, and a shiny silver car in the back.
