In a lengthy blog post update from Ubisoft, posted this week, we've learned that the release date of the highly anticipated game, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, has been delayed by about two months. The original October shelf date has been pushed to December 1, 2015, to address concerns from gamers and the community. We've also learned that the closed beta for the title's gameplay will launch next month, so it's not all bad news this week! Read more details on this update below.

The closed beta gameplay for Rainbow Six Siege starts Sept. 24, which means "the additional time will allow us to further test things like infrastructure and matchmaking. That extra testing and added polish will make for a higher-quality experience at launch," Ubisoft said this week, according to IGN.
Hitting shelves on December 1, 2015, Siege will, at that time, have fewer problems than expected-or at least that's what the developers are hoping! This push came from early demos at this summer's video gaming conventions, studio tests and alpha gameplay resulting in negative feedback.
"This wasn't an easy decision, but based on the feedback we've received, and based on our own internal tests, we felt there are adjustments and improvements we can make, including improving the co-op experience across all game modes, weapon and gadget balancing, as well as menu and interface navigation," Ubisoft announced earlier this week in an official blog update. "We're taking a little more time to make these changes, and we think it's the right call."
