As we previously mentioned,13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with 6 brand new episodes. Not only are the leads set to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.
According to Toronto Sun, the Bleak House actress will make an appearance at Fan Expo Canada in Toronto. Make sure yo get your tickets ready for September 3-6, because Anderson will be available to fans, who are anxious to know about the return of The X-Files.
Anderson reveals what took so long for the revival of the sci-fi series, "We were so focused on the idea that we would do a film, and also, until recently, doing a TV drama meant you were committing to between 20 and 24 episodes. That was just not going to happen, for either David or I."
The Fall actress adds, "Only in the last few years has it become acceptable for networks to do short stack (short seasons). That was our in. It took some convincing for me, but it was the right time for all of us, I think."
This would also be the perfect time to ask Anderson her thoughts on the series finale of Hannibal and Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier's ending.
The X-Files returns with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, January 24, 2016, following the NFC Championship Game. The event continues with its time period premiere on Monday, January 25, 2016 (8pm).
