Season 5 of Person of Interest will return to CBS in 2016. In the upcoming 13 episode run, will the mysterious hacker Root (Amy Acker) find herself meeting with trained fighter Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) as the war between the Machine and Samaritan continues?
As we previously mentioned, the cast and crew of POI conquered San Diego Comic Con for what appeared to be the last time for the show. This was the opportunity for POI cast and crew to finally address the rumors about the upcoming 13 episodes. If this is the last season, showrunner Jonathan Nolan revealed, "I can't predict down the road but we're very proud of the show and if it's the last season, no one is going to be disappointed with the story we tell."
As fanboys, we just love crossovers, such as Batman Vs. Predator and Angel/Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Though we saw the Suits actress appear in an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode as Audrey Nathan, shouldn't the Eureka actress return the favor and show up on POI? Unfortunately, we can only dream about these Joss Whedon graduates crossing over on television but real life is a whole different story.
According to Tribute, Hannibal actress Gillian Anderson showed up for Fan Expo Canada, along with Acker and Ming-Na as guests. Over the weekend of the convention, on her official Instagram account, Wen took a snapshot with Acker as they met in the hallways.

In our MStars News Interview, executive producer Greg Plageman teases what's in store for Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), "I think we'd like to explore particularly this season is, what happens when someone, you know, is able to transfer some of that burden to others, but also when something so dramatic happens that there may become a shift in the character that we haven't seen before."
WGN America is currently airing both Elementary and POI in their new "Prime Crime" programming block. WGN. Check out our Top 5 Person of Interest episodes to watch on WGN America.
