DC Entertainment Teases FREE 'Batman: Endgame' Special Edition #1 For 2015 Batman Day!

DC Entertainment is planning a huge celebration for their pop culture icon known as The Dark Knight. Be part of the fan-favorite event as readers will receive a FREE copy of the groundbreaking Batman: Endgame Special Edition #1 for Batman Day 2015.

As we previously mentioned, "Batman Day" is back by popular demand. September 26, 2015 kicks off the annual event, which will honor the most popular DC Comics hero. Celebrating all things Batman, comic book stores, libraries and bookstores have many opportunities for meet-and-greets your favorite talent, which includes Jim Lee, Grant Morrison, Scott Snyder, David Finch, Brian Azzarello, Cameron Stewart, Pat Gleason, Dustin Nguyen, Tim Seeley, and Tom King; and this is just the beginning of the list!

According to Comic Book Movie, variant covers will make their debut for the free comic Batman: Endgame Special Edition #1. One of the covers is drawn by artist David Finch (for Best Buy) and the other is illustrated by Dan Panosian (for iTunes). Comics Alliance also mentions there will be new covers as well drawn by Jason Fabok and Jim Lee. Each free copy has an 8 page preview of the highly anticipated Batman and Robin Eternal.

As Previews reports, the 40 page special edition issue reprints the lead story fromBatman #35. The clown prince of crime is done playing with Bruce Wayne. As the Joker uses the entire Justice League against the caped crusader, this is just the beginning of a deadlier scheme, one where onl;y of them gets to walk away alive.

In Batman and Robin Eternal, a blast from the past comes back to haunt Dick Grayson. During his early days as the boy wonder, Batman and Robin brought down the organization of the ultimate human trafficker, the mysterious woman known only as Mother. But when the darkest secrets arise, how will Grayson and his aliies hold up without Batman himself?
