Vicki Gunvalson, Brooks Ayers 'RHOC' Relationship After Split - Are They Still Friends?

Vicki Gunvalson has gone through one of the toughest years of her life. In the last couple of months, the Real Housewives of Orange County starlet has had to cope with the death of her mother, as well as a breakup with her boyfriend of four years, Brooks Ayers. Not just that but everything was caught on camera, making the experience that much more difficult for the reality star. We previously reported about Vicki and Brooks split, but many fans of Vicki and RHOC are wondering if the couple is still in communication with each other following the breakup and if they are, at least, still friends.

According to Radar Online, they are still talking, but only in a friendly manner.

"They still communication with each other and it is really hard on both of them. But they know in their hearts that this separation needed to happen," a source explained to the news site, adding that the pressure from Vicki's castmates about Brooks cancer made things stressful on the couple.

"The way things were going on towards the end with how others were reacting to his battle with cancer just put an incredibly difficult strain on their relationship towards the end," the source explained.

Not only has Gunvalson had to go through these extremely difficult moments back-to-back, but she has had to relive it all as they played out on the tenth season of the Bravo reality series. However, one of the upsides of the breakup is that it was not filmed for the show as filming ended in May according to The Inqusitr.

Vicki also said in an official Facebook statement that she would not be discussing the split any further.

"There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives," the starlet wrote. "Though we choose to live our lives in the public eye we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time."
