Although Floyd Mayweather Jr. promised his "final" fight would be one worth watching, it didn't deliver as promised. Mayweather's 49th fight, the fight against Andre Berto ended the same as the last seven fights of his professional career. It looks like "Money" will retire in an underwhelming fashion.
Mayweather simply went the distance with Berto and recorded a victory via decision. Although Berto did attempt to put up a fight and challenge Mayweather in the ring but struggled to land his punches.
According to The Bleacher Report, Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix even Tweeted that Mayweather seemed unfazed throughout the fight:
Mayweather looks bored. He's yapping at Berto's corner and shaking his head at the Showtime broadcast crew.

According to Complex Magazine, even Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya seemed bored during Mayweather's fight against Berto. Pacquaio released an Instragam video of himself as he played the piano on his phone. The video was captioned: "What I do when I'm bored. Hehe." While Hoya took to Twitter to express his boredom:
I'm sure glad I decided for Disney movies with my kids tonight. — Oscar De La Hoya (@OscarDeLaHoya) September 13, 2015

Although, there was one specific moment that did catch Mayweather's attention, sometime during the bout someone from the audience yelled out "What Are Thooooooose?!" at Mayweather:
The victory against Berto moves Mayweather to 49-0 on his career. After the fight, Mayweather confirmed that he will be retiring during a post-fight interview with Jim Gray.
"I've accomplished everything in the sport," said Mayweather. "Now it's time to help these young fighters. I hope my records are broken."
Though there is a possibility that Mayweather may return for a 50th bout, considering the fact that he'll basically be a free agent after finishing his contract. A 50th bout could be extremely profitable for Mayweather, especially if it were a rematch against Pacquiao.
Regardless, Mayweather does seem satisfied, even though his final bout was a little more on the boring side for the iconic fighter. Especially after beating men like Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton in his career. Fans can only hope for one last bout, but it is completely understandable that Mayweather wishes to spend some long-overdue time with his family and stay away from boxing for now.
