NeNe Leakes Claims Amiyah Scott 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Rumors are "Lies"

When it comes to the Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe Leakes claims that rookie, Amiyah Scott "will never be a housewife." Even though she's not on the show anymore, Leakes is still making her presence known and seems to think she knows all the inside info about the current show and claims the rumors about Scott joining are lies.

During a chat with Access Hollywood, the former reality star threw some major shade at the new reality show star, and claimed the news of her replacing Leakes was "lies." Leakes explained that Scott's role was, "All lies. Amiyah Scott will not be a housewife I can bet you that."

She added, "It's just a way to get everybody to tune in. Guarantee you that. None of those people that you've been hearing about will be Housewives."

According to Sandra Rose, an insider claimed that Scott was testing for a part as Kandi Burruss' friend on the show.

Besides dissing Scott, Leakes explained why she decided to leave the show. "Money ain't everything. I was the only original there, and it was the end of my contract. Bravo knew that, and I knew that." Leakes continued, "I was offered season 8 to come back, and it was my decision. I just wanted to do other things, and I also felt like being on the show I felt like I was being attacked a lot. I felt like it was very negative at times and it was just time for me to step back and just try other things."

Leakes claimed that the Real Housewives of Atlanta opened up a lot of doors for her and that she was grateful for being a part of the show.  Leakes said she just needed a break. Leakes claimed that she has turned down lots of money. So her exit from the reality show wasn't about money, as the Access Hollywood host just believe she out grew the ladies of the show.

When asked if she'd reconsider becoming a part of the Bravo show in another city, like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Leakes said, "I would love to join the Beverly Hills Housewives. I'd be the only brown girl there. They need a brown girl, I'd love to do it."

Besides reality TV, Leakes is getting a taste of fashion, hosting Fashion Police during New York Fashion Week.

She will also be making an appearance on The Real Husbands of Hollywood Tuesday night on BET.
