Emily Blunt will dazzle us again in Sicario, where she plays "an idealistic FBI agent [who] is enlisted by an elected government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico," IMDB reports. With an impending October 2, 2015 release date, Blunt talks about her character and why she even chose the role in the first place. Find out some more plot details about this movie and watch a trailer below.

Blunt says to Stuff, "I don't ever relate to characters that don't have their sh*t together in their 30s...I've been offered a couple parts like that and I just say, 'I don't relate to it. I don't understand it.' I don't have an interest in playing those kinds of parts. As I get older, I just love seeing people that don't have their head in their hands. I like seeing people who cope." Stuff goes on to say that Blunt's skills are "prominently on display in Sicario" as her character Kate Macy. Blunt also doesn't hestitate to talk about women in the entertainment business in general. She feels as though there has been a lot of talk about women in the business receiving more recognition, but no action. She says, "We need to take more action and talk less about it...I sometimes feel you can exacerbate a problem by talking about it until you're blue in the face and putting further and further stamps on the divide. Instead of having nights that celebrate women in Hollywood, we should organize programmes where you pay for female writers to develop their skills."

The film really touches on the U.S.'s views and relationships that they have with other countries, especially our neighbors to the South. Director Denis Villeneuve says, "It is about a phantasm...It's about how Americans have this fantasy of thinking that we can solve problems with violence, of going above the law of other countries," according to the NY Times. Even Josh Brolin, who stars in the film as well, commented on the film's message. "We all talk about ISIS, which is only 15,000, 20,000 strong...This is so much bigger than that, so much more dangerous than that, so much more violent than that. Yet we're pretending it doesn't exist," NY Times reports.

The film is going to really make audiences think in addition to providing some sensational action sequences, not to mention the talents of not only Blunt and Brolin, but Benicio Del Toro, Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead), Jeffrey Donovan, Victor Garber amongst others.
