Does Vicki Gunvalson 'RHOC' Ex Brooks Ayers Have Cancer? Answer Revealed

It might be the weirdest question that has even gotten brought up on The Real Housewives of Orange County. During Season 10, cast member Vicki Gunvalson's now ex-boyfriend, Brooks Ayers, was diagnosed with cancer, and as viewers have watched the storyline progress, it doesn't seem like some of the members of the cast find Ayers story so believable. The last couple of episodes have seen Meghan King Edmonds, Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, and Tamra Judge talking amongst themselves trying to figure out if Ayers is lying about his illness. Well Ayers is clearing the air today, and confirming that he does in fact have cancer.

The former lover to Gunvalson opened up to Entertainment Tonight, where he explained his illness, and confirmed that he has been struggling with Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

"I have cancer," the star explained to the news site before adding that he is set to start a new round of chemotherapy to try and beat the illness next month at a treatment center in Los Angeles.

As for how he feels about his illness being highly discussed on RHOC, Radar Online reports that he feels that the storyline is "to create drama... manufactured drama... and that's sad to me."

Brooks also added that the co-stars doubting his diagnosis is "useless drama that brings on stress that, quite frankly, no one needs and in particular, my situation."

According to PEOPLE, fans saw Gunvalson defending Brooks on last night's episode, when she went up against the majority of women, explaining that she wasn't going to show the cast Ayers medical records to try to quiet them, because it would be like "feeding a monster that's never going to be full."

With all this drama, we are sure that the upcoming reunion is going to be one for the books.
