For all of you out there who believe Kanye West has no shot in actually successfully running for president in 2020, well, it looks as if there's one Republican candidate supporting him: Ben Carson. The retired neurosurgeon reportedly claimed in an interview that he'd be willing to give Kim Kardashian's husband a chance at the presidential run.
On ABC's This Week, Carson claimed that he's "willing to give him a chance," further noting, "He'll be able to explain things and see if he resonates with the people."
Time reports that the appreciation for West goes both ways, as the rapper apparently came clean in an interview with Vanity Fair, telling the publication that he feels Carson was "the most brilliant guy."
West famously announced that he had plans to run for president in 2020 during his speech at the 2015 MTV VMAs. He was honored with an award and basically ranted for a lengthy number of minutes about award shows and mentioned a bunch of other stuff that many of us didn't really comprehend.
Now, having said that, it was all anyone could talk about after the event so perhaps West is #winning on all accounts.
As far as Carson, well, who knows what's next. Perhaps he can go to West for some campaign advice? Naturally, having West back him would be a huge boost in his poll. At least, we're assuming that's so as most of us in the United States love a celebrity attached to something.
As an example, Carson's interview on This Week also touched on the likes of immigration and the migrant crisis currently occurring, but all people seem to care about are his comments on West.
So, thoughts?
