Before its the official October date, CBS had the pilot premiere of DC Comics' Supergirl at the 2015 New York Comic Con. In the city that can make or break your career, Twitter had lots to say about their introduction to Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist).
As we previously mentioned, the CBS superhero drama will follow the comic book adventures of Kara Zor-El (Benoist). Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped before its destruction. While living on Earth, Kara has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at the tender age of 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be.
As we previously mentioned, Warner Bros. TV is bringing to their freshmen series to New York Comic-Con next month, on Sunday October 11. Supergirl joins Blindspot, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Containment, as well as returning series Gotham and Person of Interest. There will be advance viewings of pilot episodes from Supergirl, Containment and Lucifer. After the screening of the complete pilot, the panel will be followed by a special Q&A with series stars, Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, and executive producer Ali Adler.
