Adam Levine of Maroon 5 Shaves Head Bald, Goes Hairless on 'The Voice' [PHOTO]

When it comes to amazing hair on The Voice, Adam Levine isn't letting Gwen Stefani have all the fun. The "Hollaback Girl" might be known for her platinum blond locks, which she changes up throughout the show, but Levine might be one upping the star, as he just underwent a hair makeover of his own. The Maroon 5 front man just debuted a brand new do on the NBC singing competition earlier this week, much to the shock of viewers, and even some coaches on the series, including Blake Shelton.  He shaved his head completely bald and is going hairless for a while.

According to Us Weekly, Levine decided to go for a more natural look with his hair, that is, he decided to go completely bare an completely shave his head. The site is reporting that fans went into panic mood when they saw the star on the show, and took to the internet, as one does when they are freaking out. However, it might have been his fellow coach on the series, Shelton, who had the funniest response to his pal's new hairstyle.

The star took to his Twitter account, getting the hashtag "#adamsbald" trending on the site.

"Thank goodness #Gandhi was there... #adamsbald," the star wrote.

Don't think that the hashtag went without Adam's noticing. The "Sugar" singer follow up all the comments and tweets, with one of his own, aimed to correct the glaring mistake in the hashtag.

"Excuse me, Lex Luthor was bald. I have 'shaved' my head," the rocker wrote on the site. "Meaning, shaved by choice. Big difference. OK?!! OK?!!"

The site is reporting that this isn't the first time that Levine has debuted a skin-close shave, in fact in 2012 he also cut his hair down to the skin and wrote, "I shaved my head. Sometimes it's just necessary, like an emotional reboot. It'll grow back."

Fans of The Voice will get the exciting opportunity to watch his hair do just that, as they continue to watch the live rounds of the show this season.
