Universal Pictures Home Entertainment brings viewers the laugh-out-loud blockbuster Trainwreck with bonus content. The hilarious comedy starring Amy Schumer, Bill Hader, and Lebron James arrives on Digital HD before its official DVD and Blu-Ray release date.
As we previously mentioned, the Comedy Central superstar plays the role Amy, a budding magazine writer with a new assignment. Since she was a child, Amy has been continuously told by her father (Colin Quinn) that monogamy is an unrealistic prospect. Listening to her father's advice, Amy lives her life uninhibited and free from romantic commitment. But when she meets successful sports doctor Aaron Conners (Hader), who happens to be best buds with Lebron (who's playing himself but not really), she actually starts to wonder if maybe her dad was probably wrong.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Schumer describes how the main protagonist is close and personal to her, "Well, it's a part of me, too. Because the stuff you're copping to and the saddest, worst moments of your life-that's the stuff people connect to and appreciate. In reality, I've almost always had a boyfriend. Every year, if I have like one or two sexual experiences, they might both be hilarious."
According to DIY, the unrated version contains deleted scenes, gag reel, line-o-rama. There will also be exclusive blu-ray special features, which include extended scenes and a behind-the-scenes featurettes entitled, "Directing Athletes: A Blood Sport" and "Scences from The Dogwalker film" with Daniel Radcliffe, from the Harry Potter movies.
We also mentioned, we're crossing our fingers for that screenplay by the Last Comic Standing starlet and the Hunger Games very own Jennifer Lawrence. We can't wait to see these two in the buddy comedy!
Arriving on Digital HD on October 20, Trainwreck will then be available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download on Monday, December 7, just in time for the Christmas holidays.
Readers, are you excited to add Trainwreck to your movie collection?
