WWE will present the 2015 edition of Hell in a Cell from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 25. There are plenty of spoilers and rumors flying around about this pay-per-view, and we've got our full preview below with predictions for each match.
Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, and Neville vs. Rusev, King Barrett, and Sheamus (Pre-Show)
We literally just saw this six-man tag team match on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, so why they've decided to run it again on the pre-show for the pay-per-view is beyond me. There are zero stakes to this match, so we'll assume the faces win because that's how these things usually go.
Winners: Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, and Neville
The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, and/or Xavier Woods) (c) vs. The Dudley Boyz for the WWE Tag Team Championship
This could be the end of this feud for the tag belts, or it could continue for one more match at Survivor Series next month. The problem is The New Day are one of the most entertaining teams in years, but the Dudley Boyz have the nostalgia factor. It would be totally acceptable to put the belts on Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley, but it's hard to imagine The New Day without the gold. Plus, if the Dudleys are going to win it, then it should really happen in a Tables Match.
Winners: The New Day
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Ryback for the Intercontinental Championship
Owens took the title from Ryback at Night of Champions last month thanks to an eye rake (which has become a staple of his offense now) and a roll up. The Big Guy has spent the four weeks since then trying to get inside Owens' head and attack him after matches, but Owens has largely managed to stay a step ahead of his challenger.
Right now, the belt is a better fit around the waist or over the shoulder of the former NXT Champion than it is on Ryback, so don't expect to see The Big Guy walk away with the gold this weekend.
Winner: Kevin Owens
Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt (Hell in a Cell)
This should be the final match in this feud, and we've already covered the ways it can become a classic. And if it is the last match, then we need to decide a definitive winner.
If the rumors are true that WWE is planning to restart its plans for Roman Reigns, which include a WWE World Heavyweight Championship victory at WrestleMania 32, then he's going to win this match to start building some momentum. Wyatt definitely needs the win more, unless WWE decides to tell an interesting story in the following way.
Reigns said on Raw this week that Wyatt is afraid to be alone. So if Reigns dismantles him inside the Cell and proves that Wyatt can't win without help from his family, then maybe Wyatt snaps and turns on his own people? It would certainly give him a new creative direction, and wouldn't we all love to see Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman?
Winner: Roman Reigns
Charlotte (c) (w/Becky Lynch) vs. Nikki Bella (w/Brie Bella and Alicia Fox) for the WWE Divas Championship
Charlotte is winning this match because they're not going to hot shot the title back to Nikki so quickly. So the more interesting aspect of this match is how Paige gets involved. She could try to cost Charlotte the title or, in what would be a juicier turn of events, actually try to help her win to prove that they're still best friends. Either way, we can expect her to attack Charlotte after the match to set up the next title feud.
Winner: Charlotte
John Cena (c) vs. ??? in WWE United States Championship Open Challenge
We're covering possible candidates in a separate article, so it's hard to predict a winner here. Rumors are swirling heavily that Cena is taking some time off after this pay-per-view, so it would make sense for him to drop the title here.
Winner: ???
Seth Rollins (c) vs. The Demon Kane for the WWE United States Championship
The stipulation here is that Corporate Kane is fired as Director of Operations if The Demon Kane loses. Looks like he better get his CV together.
Winner: Seth Rollins
Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar (Hell in a Cell)
There's little to say about this match that hasn't already been said. It's going to be epic and it's going to be a fitting conclusion to a feud that began with one of the most memorable moments in WWE history. Neither man deserves to lose, but one must. Lesnar has more time left in his career, so Lesnar's going to win.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
