Sure, Donald Trump might say that presidential candidate Ben Carson is "low energy" but how many lethargic slugs (our words) tried to stab someone when they were 14 years old, Mr. Trump? Wait, what!? Yes, Ben Carson admitted during an interview with Chuck Todd on Meet the Press that he tried to stab someone when he was younger.
When asked how he would respond to Trump's comments that he's "low energy," Carson admitted that everyone has their own personality and he is fine with the GOP frontrunner feeling the need to poke fun at others. "That's not who I am," he explained.
Furthermore, Carson added (with his eyes half-open), "I have plenty of energy. I am soft-spoken, I do have a tendency to be relaxed. I wasn't always like that..."
The neurosurgeon further called himself "very volatile" during a his teenage years, admitting to having gone after people with bricks, baseball bats, hammers and rocks.
"Of course, many people know the story of when I was 14 and I tried to stab someone..."
Huh?? Did we all know that?!
Below is the full interview with Carson. Skip over to the 0:58 mark for the "I almost stabbed a guy" section of the interview.
Of course, the candidate's interview wasn't all about his crazy past. Todd further questioned him on some of the comments he's made in recent months about President Barack Obama and even his views on abortion. To which he admitted that he believes life starts at conception. In fact, even in times of an unwanted pregnancy – whether it be accidental, rape or incest – Carson believes abortion is not the answer and would love to see Roe v. Wade overturned.
So, are there any women out there looking to vote for Ben Carson?
